HG, it is very simple, if we let this thing blow up, Albania will get involved at this can grow to become a Moslems vs Christian affair, which will destabilize the Greek/Turk situation and could eventually lead to Iran and Lybia getting into the conflict. Our bombing campaign in Bosnia was initiated when thousands of Moslems volunteers from Lybia and Iran came to the rescue of their Moslems brothers there. The campaign finally forced the Dayton peace treaty. Personally, I think that a bombing campaign is futile, it will cost a good $5 to $10 billions and I think that by spending the same amount (let say $300 MM per month for six months) in aid and economic revival efforts in the region, we will reach peace more rapidly. Guess what will happen if after such six months of goodies spreading, we suiddenly say, sit at the peace table or we close the spigot? They'll sit at the table, our cost will be lower and no long term hatred to the US will ensue. Right now, we are walking a very dangerous path. Zeev
