Some quick lunch thoughts on Privacy and DigitalMe: Privacy is a major issue and the disclosure by MSFT that all your windows documents can be traced (probably for their data bases to know your profile to sell it..etc etc) is very troubling. it underscores what McNealy was saying the other day: right now there is no privacy on the Internet.

I think it is really a FUNDAMENTAL issue. It is not only about browsing privacy concerns but it goes all the way back to basic E-MAIL.

How does this fit with NOVL technologies? I think that a MAJOR coup would be to have e-mail programs on which through your DIGITALME technology YOU are able to decide if

the system will keep a back up of your document or not

In principle an e-mail is between you and whoever it is you are sending it to. This not only applies to your employer who probably will disclose to you that they are monitoring your e-mail but to systems that you thought were private. Example; So you have a Yahoo account how do you know if Yahoo is erasing your e-mails????? How about that Mr Starr??

With a digitalme technology you could have control on your privacy.
