A question or two for the thread.

Over the past month we have heard analysts make statements about the slowdown in PC sales. I am puzzled as to how analysts come to their conclusions. I assume that analysts receive periodic guidance from the PC manufacturers over the course of the quarter. If this were the case, you would think the analysts would have a fairly good handle on sales? Yet, many were surprised (and yes admittedly wrong) with Dell's 4th quarter revenue numbers.

I'm just trying to decide for myself on how Dell is performing this quarter. On the one hand I hear the analysts, and on the other hand I hear the statements like that from Kevin Rollins.

Confused...
