AWEB's chart is stinking up the place! my comments on previous post! This was directed to Pluvia < I don't agree with you at all. Lots of good information on the site and allows you to not only look for new cars but connect with used car buyers and sellers. Allows you to sell your car over the internet ... pretty good idea. > Yes, but this is nothing NEW and has been available on YAHOO CLASSIFIEDS (a FREE service) that gets widespread coverage. < And if we use your logic .... why would i buy anything online when I could go down the street a few miles and look at it in the store. AUTOWEB.COM allows you to comparison shop WITHOUT having to give your personal information and face a salesman (like many people don't like to do)unless you want to. Well, then where is the profitability in people "window shopping" at their site? When buying HIGH ticket items, people are going to want to touch, feel, and get intimate with the product. Buying a car is most people second largest investment... what serious purchaser will use this over Consumer Reports? <Your comments sound like the same ones somebody made about Amazon.com, "who would wanna buy a book online when I can go to the bookstore and look at it and buy it now?" Look at Amazon now.> NOT A VALID COMPARISON... you cannot compare a $10-30 product with a $15,000 - $60,000 + product purchase. Its not even apples and oranges... more like pees and watermellons! :-)
