Yes, trained employee's are a valuable asset, but if they aren't needed....it's as simple as that. Why, with a company growing so fast are they not needed ? Simply put...NETSCAPE was a seperate entity...AOL had no control...now they do. Maybe NETSCAPE was frivolous with their workforce....maybe they had poor management in that area....who knows...but the bottom line is as soon as it became AOL, it was being run by AOL management and obviously AOL management did not think they needed that many employee's. I for one am not about to knock such a succesful management teams decisions.
