larry...re "selling undressed puts...please not risky as you state can you sell a put that is not naked? the risk is less than writing a covered call, for it is established at time of sale....max risk=strike -premium=cost basis it is a conservative investment tool providing you look at it as same it is grossly misunderstood by most brokers and many non full service firms... not sure how it is marked to market as you claim..if you sell against cash/capacity...you've established your max risk with the strike price...can't increase as a margin buy does...never have to add cash as long as you have capacity... good luck, ed a.
