I know that Tech Data has no intention of following Ingram Micro in the "layoff" period. As a matter of fact, CHS is the only other distributor to announce that they will follow suit. Tech Data is not a company that will be easily taken over or acquired. Although they are in the same industry, I see no reason why people keep referring to the two companies as one. The two companies have two very different business philosophies, and act on very different models.
