Re: Jaffe In today's frenzied, PC's are going-to-hell environment, it was a pretty shallow piece, as was his response to G. Mullineaux... Since reading this comment I have been racking my brain. As hard as I try I can't come up with one example of a reporter who I would classify as "deep." Every one that I've either met or observed for an extended period, seems quite shallow, almost incapable of real introspection or meaningful, protracted discussion of important issues. The truth of what I am saying is proved out by noticing the stuff one says to a reporter and that stuff that ends up in print. There is often little resemblance and certainly little to indicate that the stream of thought was even heard, much less understood. Curbstone
