Shakeup at DBCC competitor DTLN... "...Data Transmission Network Corp (DTLN) DATA TRANSMISSION NETWORK CORP said its chairman and CEO Roger Brodersen had resigned as part of a board of directors shake-up. The company said that as part of the board reorganization, five incumbent directors resigned, including Brodersen, and the size of the board was cut to seven from nine. The company said board member Peter Kamin was named nonexecutive chairman and will head up a special committee of directors to reexamine DTN's strategic alternatives. The alternatives include hiring an investment banker to evaluate and pursue alternatives for near-term maximization of shareholder value, the company said, adding that as part of the process it will terminate its shareholders rights plan.
