Yes, I call it index investing, closet index investing by portfolio managers and general performance chasing. They might tell you it is the liquidity of the large caps, but if the money flow shifted to the small caps to create an outperformance run, do you think we would hear anyone voice a liquidity concern? Hell, no. They would be too busy piling in to care.
