I agree the Net players are in a frenzy and are positioning themselves for the upcoming Tsunami. And granted Ampex is not on Wall Street's radar yet!! I Suppose I am suffering, as others might be, from a little acute paranoia. One of the things that concerns me is, as you already know, is that 12 Months in the evolution of technology is an eon. Even though Ampex currently has the biggest and fastest "storage box" I fret that someone out there will have an even bigger and faster "box" and less expensive and will introduce it before the "New industrial strength" Ampex is ready to sail. The greatest bits per square inch wins. I just had another amusing thought re: Ed and Ampex, although jokingly. Remember the Lee Marvin movie Cat Ballou or was it Paint Your Wagon? where Lee and his horse were both snockered and leaning up against the side of the building? Now do you suppose that is Ed and his horse "ole Ampex". As always, your posts are very well thought out and keenly perceptive. TW
