I think when there is not enough work to go around, the big companies have more of an advantage over the small companies than when times are good. The big companies have more resources and tend to have more staying power, assuming they were in good shape when the downturn started.

The big caps, AMAT and others, have had a bad few days - looks like they are "correcting".
