I don't understand your point. Why won't Comcast's shift to their own broadband system make many people rich? What is the market? It is what these companies give to people. If you think the market is determined by what people want, then you surely don't understand the government's case against MSFT. What people want is way after the fact of what they get. In fact, the worst mistake MSFT or any company can make, is to be "customer oriented" and give the people what they claim they want. The outcome of that is disaster as Windows and all MSFT products prove. They are bloated and error prone. This comes from giving the people what they want and it was the failure to create this impossibility which ended up with MSFT in court. The people don't know what they want, so all this advertising posturing from all these companies stating they are customer oriented, to the extent that they believe it, to that extent they will fail. It is ok to listen to customers, but you do what you want, not what they want. I don't expect 99% of the glad handing CEOs out there to understand this, but sooner or later they do this, if only to survive.
