The unfortunate difference in this case is that we're at the "Polish" stage of the analogy. If we had wanted to stand up and denounce the heavy handed methods of Serbia we should have done it in Slovenia and Croatia, not waited till the pot was at a boil in Kosovo. Now the Serbs, like the Germans of 60 years ago (ironic, no?), have been emboldened by their success and defiant of the West. It may be too late save by force of arms. In any case, theres too much face at stake to turn back. We're going to keep bombing the crap out of Serbia until Molesovic backs down, we decide the heats getting too hot from Russia, or all hell breaks loose.
