With the help of the PM messages I am receiving I can now amend my story. The plane I went from UK to Trinidad (1964) may have been a Vickers Viscount V.810 which had four turbo-prop engines.

The plane on which we had to turn the propellors with a rope in South America to get it started and which I also flew in Northern Canada was "the Douglas DC-3 "Dakota" which was 62 feet long and was known for being able to handle short or difficult landing strips because it lands at about 90 mph rather than the 150+ of a DC-8 and because of the tail wheel".

There is a new ad on TV in the UK. A young lad sidles up to an older man in a pub and says respectfully "Do you have any War Stories" The old guy says, "No." The voice-over says "What a refreshing difference - Heineken" So I think I'll stop my "War Stories" now.

The little girl in your pic - she doesn't sing, "The Good Ship the Lollipop" Does she?
