Accruals are slowing up already, despite post to contrary, on Yahoo.

This might prevent reaching the number. Remember XOMA has said it considered stopping in Dec. and that according to one conversation with them they feel they have some extra power built into the study. Meaning reaching the number is best but they can probably make it without doing so.

There were several more cases, one death, in London area and three cases in Scotland recently. I did not post the articles for somewhat obvious reasons. Even so we are at the end of the season. There will still be about 30 cases per week in the U.K. but we have no idea on the severity of these cases nor if they would have been treated in any of the XOMA sites. The phls of the u.k. is no longer updating the moving average graph.

Something could be wrong with the data or further analysis may show illness was not related to meningococcemia, (to impact negatively a death in the placebo group would have to be rejected for some reason).
