Actually, When I lived 'rural' a few years back, we tried an internet method of shopping for a car. I don't remember the company, but the closest participating dealer that got 'hit' was over 350 miles away. For the heck of it we waited to be contacted and never were. We ended up driving 30 miles (the closest dealer) and getting our car there the old fashioned way (haggling)....
