Howard, nobody is fooled by the impostor argument. Did someone really figure out your different aliases, like...

schellenberg@usdl.20by.97
howard38@earthlink.net
howard37@pixi.com
schellenberg@tct10.med.navy.mil (really you!)
Watson37@pixi.com
caudill@pixi.com
Known as Mark Watson, Susan Dey etc.

...then specifically create multiple fake accounts and post to SI and Usenet in order to somehow discredit you? And as you were posting at the time how come you simply ignored these conflicting posts over a period of 18 months or so? I'm sure most people would immediately want to point out that someone was taking their name in vain. All this was happening as recently as 3 months ago, never mind a year. You simply didn't cover your tracks and left a huge trail of cross references to yourself which unfortunately for you stay fairly permanently on the archives. I don't want to bore everyone on this thread with detail but there is a fair sized archive.
Why don't you deny that (for example) you posted as Mark Watson... and I'll prove that you did - beyond reasonable doubt.

>>However, I think that anyone who depends on this type of forum to make investment decisions ALONE is makng a big mistake.<<

We agree. But some people will. And tell their friends. And rightly or wrongly they will feel more secure if an independent analyst advises it. People should be aware that the independent analyst company turns out to be just Howard sitting at his PC whilst at work. If you believe that the future earnings will be a certain amount, go ahead and voice your opinion - but don't try and add groundless credibility to your opinions. (I have neutral opinions on QDEL by the way, and I am making no comment on whether the earnings figures are realistic or not.)

Don't give up your day job, but do give up the dishonesty.
Patrick.
