Any time people are hurt or killed in conflicts it is a tragedy. But if we targeted leaderships, you could be certain that our leaders would be killed on a regular basis - along with our military and diplomatic representatives overseas (yep, that's me).

I am appalled at some of the things I read on SI about Kosovo. There is so much misunderstanding, grasping at distorted bits of information and general paranoia about a very contained, smoothly-running operation. Sometimes I wonder how the country made it through World War 2. No CNN then, that's probably why.

I am keeping a 20-25% short position in my portfolio spread out over several positions, mostly rotten little companies like RACE and ICCAC. But I am fully invested on the long side, so a big up day suits me just fine.

The trashy shorts don't tend to fly the way that Internuts and other mo-mo stocks do.
