Short interest in NOVL increases dramatically NOVELL INC March 15th 9,634,430 February 15th 8,467,606 change up 13.8 average daily volume 8,801,645 This is the first dramatic up move in months and it is not good news. What it means is that NOVL is in the grip of the traders who are betting that the buzz over Brainshare and the run-up in the stock will give them a trading opportunity --- short the stock, buy the calls. This time they could be wrong. Since Novell is about to begin making some money off of Bordermanager and caching products. ============= NOVL is down today in a pure rotation move. I can see it in other stocks that were down yesterday and up today or vice versa. This pattern may not last out the morning.
