Shooting from the hip without knowing the details, first glance looks to me like this is an opportunity for both companies to focus on wht they do best: Q on asics and related licensing rev's, handsets and convergent devices; Ericy on infrastructure. Maybe Q could have turned the infra unit into a profitable operation; but no guarantees. Q can surf on Ericy's infra buildout and worldwide relationships; virtually minting money as the infra expands. A good deal is a good deal, even if a better deal could have been eventually reached.
