Commodore is gone, although the trademark may be re-used in Europe.
Escom bought the assets and built up the european amiga business,
with A4000T manufactured in PA by QuicPak. Escom went bust (unrelated) and there was a flakey set-up box wannabe claiming to buy it but may not have had the money or would not pay full price or whatever, (Viscorp, vistv.com ). I think now best bet is that QuickPak will buy from German Bankruptcy court. To find out more you should lurk on usenet group comp.sys.amiga.misc and/or
look up some of these keywords in dejanews.

There are accelerator and graphics boards getting made and sold, mainly from german companies, still a lot of independent software development, a GNU distribution with unix command emulation library,
etc. If you want to buy a machine I've got a few extra. :)
