The truth is that Metz, Rogers and Elaine get to keep their jobs no matter how wrong they are now because they made some correct calls in the past. It seems that as long as people have a history of being correct, then no matter how many incorrect calls are subsequently made, their reputation never changes. Let me mention some names as examples.
