S.S,
It should be an uplift, but we will see if they do deliver what seems to be promised. I myself can not wait to have one. I will upgrade from my Mac128K.

As a user of both Mac and Windows, I am convinced that it is a matter of time until the difference is so pronounced that the public (mass consumer) will be hooked. I think it is more the inefficient software then the processor speeds. The processors are ahead of the software curve. Having most of your main software written by your main competitor has proven to be a recipe for being behind them all the time.

I plan to keep using these machines 10 years from now. My Mac128K is still working away as a Word processor and graphics creator (sales material, etc) 13 years later. (circa 1984) No problems. A little slow since I have a 1200 Hayes modem on it. Can you find anyone using a PS2 or those cluncky Compaq anymore?

But liking the products and making money in stocks have very little to do with each other. This is a very important read:

Fundamentals, and my heart have steered my wrong way too often.

Welcome to SI.
