FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 25, 1999--Anderson
Computers/Tidalwave Corp. (OTC BB:ACPT.O) Thursday announced that the
company is in the process of signing a joint venture agreement which
will allow Anderson to upgrade its corporate Web site,
tidalwavepc.com to be a fully interactive e-commerce site
similar to Dell Computers (NASDAQ:DELL.O).
Anderson Computers' business objective is to continually position
the company to take advantage of the growth and popularity of
e-commerce throughout the world. Since the first of the year,
Internet stocks such as Lycos (NASDAQ:LCOS.O) trading at $95 1/4,
Excite (NASDAQ:XCIT.O) trading at $132 7/8, America Online (NYSE:AOL.N)
trading at $125, and Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO.O) trading at $170, are up
substantially in price.
"We strongly believe that our e-commerce strategy to model Dell
Computers, the world's leading direct computer systems company, and
Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN.O) by cutting out the high cost middleman and
selling direct to the public will benefit the computer buyer," stated
Anderson Computers/Tidalwave President Leon Kline.
Details on the joint venture will be released shortly. The
upgraded Tidalwave Web site will require less manpower, with increased
capabilities and speed for the consumer. Completion of the
enhancements to the Web site should occur within 30 days of signing
the joint venture agreement.
Additionally, Anderson Computers is in negotiations to license
its Tidalwave computers. A final signed licensing agreement is
anticipated within the next two weeks, details to follow.
"When people visit our Web site, www.tidalwavepc.com, they see
quality computers at great prices," commented Kline. "Customers who
demand exceptional performance should embrace the Tidalwave computer."
