John, my understanding of margin requirements, The federal reserve board decides whether a stock may be bought on margin... The margin dept of your broker will then review the stock and decide if they want to permit margin buying, volatility is a big consideration.... Also, there be additional margin requirements that need to be met if the stock drops below $5.00, I would be required to add 2 cents per share with my broker... Carl
