Not being a trend follower, I cannot explain daily movements. However,
in hindsight, the dip in Micron price can be explained as an
adjustment to BTB and some news/rumors of DRAM price declines.

So far I have not been able to get any confirmation on the price
declines to $4.00 level. But I am only halfway thru the list
of manufacturers.
