i wonder what kind of "news" is waiting to be announced publicly? and I'm wondering which earlier trade they pull out of their, uh, "back pockets" to use as the close like they did a week or so ago with those giant phantom blocks of 85K and 110K that magically appeared and disappeared. Anybody else watch the action closely at the market-wide buy-at-gunpoint at 2:30? Every index in the market turned on a dime at 2:31 or so. You can even see the big blocks coming straight out of the computers if you check Time & Sales. In MU's case, there was a 100K share buy at 12:32 that came to the market maker, and all he did was hand over 100K shares and reach into the bag for another armful. An honest to goodness downgrade tonight would be sweet, God knows somebody has got to crack soon and yield to the inevitable, but I've called on The Powers That Be too many times already. What do we have with that Everen re-iteration? (During the middle of the day to boot, man that's so pathetic I gotta laugh.) Five desperate reiterations today? And there's still twenty minutes to go! Cue the penguins!
