*AV*--TA is nothing more than Technical Analysis but what a trip. Kevin is our resident TA person and with the support of others, he looks at charts, sees patterns, assimilate other data, looks at historical trends, past performance, market statistics, etal. to determine the worthiness of a stock. Various trends and chart patterns usually mean certain thigs have, will, or may happen. You could almost say it is the science of stock analysis since there are those institutions, brokerages, finanical analysts, researchers, technical advisory people, etal. that live and die by TA. Technical Analysis is the bread and butter to some people that are influential enough to "move the market". TA predicts upcoming bull and bear market conditions, predicts future performance of stocks, gives a handle on trends, predicts option index, etc.
Call it the mathematical and statisitical interpretation of market and stock performance.
