For all of us who have patiently and (most of the time) confidently held Qualcomm for years, this is really great to see. Kudos to everyone. I am not going to mention everyone by name, because surely I would forget somebody--but of course special mention to Gregg Powers and Perry LaForge. And, I want to thank my registered rep who also remained confident through the ups and downs; brokers too often, like lawyers, get bad mouthed, but mine has been a source of great information and a real confidence builder.

Now if we can figure out what the deal really is! I may uncork champagne--Napa Valley of course.

We now are facing easily $4.00 per share Y2K, just with the extra 50 cents from relieving the infrastructure drain. It is going to be interesting to see what happens now as hopefully the company capitalizes its chip leadership in cdma. I just hope Ericy (which is "considering" buying ASIC's from the Q), MOT and Nokia see the light. Buy all your chips from the Q and get the best.

Frankly, I cannot imagine Ericy buying its chips elsewhere or trying to make its own--not if they want to put on the shelves cdma phones that work--as quickly as it wants to do. Ericy has had enough problems; if I were Ericy, I would announce at the appropriate time that it will buy Q ASIC's in order to engender confidence that the phones will not have problems.
