I believe that "neat" is the proper expression for scotch, but since you're not a scotch person, I think I'll wait for someone like Aitch to show up to steer me in the right direction. Sooooo, I'll have a T&T (Tangueray and tonic -Schweppes) - tall glass with ice, 1/3 gin and extra lime. Was interesting reading about everyone's stint in the armed forces. Mr. K was lucky - just a little too young. My brother-in-law "The Turk" <ggg> was wounded in VN, came home, went back and got wounded again. Amazingly no one in K's family (whole family tree!) has ever been in the service - lots of preachers. BTW, not to "make light" of the subject by any means, but some of my favorite movies are about VN - The Deer Hunter and Born on the 4th of July. Did you see either? K
