Hebrews 1 (speaking of Jesus)
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
Revelation 22
(John has just fallen down to worship at an angels feet when he received the revelation of Jesus Christ)
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Today in showing these verses to some precious souls in the Jehovah's Witnesses (Watchtower Society) they told me that the verses in Hebrews must be a false statement.
God's promise is to preserve His word forever Psalm 12:6-7 and He has magnified it above His own name Psalm 138:2
It is not difficult for me to choose between the accuracy of God's word and the teachings of Charles Taz Russel the founder of what has become the Watchtower Society.
II Corinthians 4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Precious Father, have mercy upon those trapped in the bondage imposed by cults and may Satan be bound and their chains broken as they are drawn by you to the simplicity that is in Jesus Christ. I ask this of you in the perfect name of your Son. |
