Watching the trading, tick by tick, I can assure you that the shorts tried their damndest to keep the stock down today. So obviously they haven't "given up" yet. But they will. And it will be painful for those not nimble enough to cover fast. That there are so many shorts is likely the reason RMBS will shoot up faster than any of us expects.
