Stuart:

Raises an interesting issue.... I have been assuming that cox-2 inhibitors are aspirin without the side effects.

I have extremely high regard for aspirin, and I've used TONS of it through years of headaches, despite the warnings of chewing up my gut.

Your point is well-taken, and undoubtedly true..... but, aren't we just a tad over-enthusiastic about cox-2 inhibitors?

"...The drug (Ridaura) is currently indicated for adults with active rheumatoid arthritis
who are not responsive to, or are intolerant of, treatment with non-steroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)."

It would seem like the new Cox-2 inhibitors (Celebrex, Vioxx) might cut into or limit
sales of Ridaura.

Well, we still get "not responsive to".

:-)
