Autoweb.com and autobytel.com are two of a kind. Both Internet-based
automobile marketing services allow online shoppers to send
requests for pricing information on their dream cars to affiliated
car dealers across the country. The dealers must then respond within 24
hours with their best offers. Both companies generate revenue through
the fees they charge to car dealers.
They are both scheduled to go public this week.
