hi sidney,

i don't think there is a browser setting to prevent that.

there are a couple things that you can do that i am aware of.

first of all, it is your isp that has an idle time, or inactivity time setting. you'll need to contact them and request that they bump it up to a longer time period. i did that with my isp.

secondly, you can fool them into thinking you are surfing the web by doing a couple things. you can load a site in a browser window that refreshes itself, or that has moving components. that will simulate activity and keep you connected. you may even be able to minimize the 'refresh' window on your desktop and still have it work. try it. or, you can search out some shareware programs that are available that accomplish this same task.

but look to your isp, not your browser.

:)
