I may have posted something about this before..but got nothing back....so here goes.:

I'm trying to find a broker who will sell a "Buy-Write". My understanding is that if you find the right broker....(and it's possible that no discount broker will do them)...that you buy the stock at the ask....but you also sell the CC at the ask....so the difference is you get the difference between bid-ask on the CC you're writing.

So far...I'm getting Zero. Ameritrade didn't seem to understand my question.....and it sounds like they will just do 2 transactions (so I'll get the CC at the bid)......and InvestTrade just said "No"

anybody doing any BuyWrites....(I know...it goes against the WINS dictum...of waiting for the stock to go up...and then writing the CC)...but???>>>
