Druss, until the shooting war started, I was sure that I would not eat the crow for my "no 10k close in 1999" prediction. But I had assumed that reason would prevail and war would be avoided. But I was too optimistic.

War is bullish and the bulls launched forth in Asia as the first shots were fired and continued here today. Maybe the euphoria of a high tech attack on an almost defenseless nation will simmer down tomorrow.

I don't share in the war euphoria, it saddens me to see property and lives being destroyed with computer precision. You would think that a people smart enough to develop this technology would also be smart enough to avoid its use. If it is the "war rally" that causes me to eat crow, it will be a sad event, not the joy it should be.
