Stress and trading.. If you are feeling the 'stress' of the trades than something is wrong. Being a trader (NOT a daytrader just a short term trader) means you have made a lifestyle choice that is supposed to be comfortable. I wake up in the morning (or am already up but you know what I mean) excited, and looking forward to the trading day, A down market or up market it's not that much difference for me. The up markets are easier but the down markets are more challenging and paradoxically sometimes easier since you are faced with fewer choices.

I surround myself during the day with fun stuff, I jump on the weight machine for 20 minutes or so and run out with my husband for a quick lunch from time to time, I listen to my CD's, call my girl friends during a 'quiet time' etc.

If you hold positions that are 'uncomfortable' and you can't sleep then something is wrong, and don't worry about selling to quickly.. did you every hear of anyone going broke who sold too quickly? A profit is a profit. Don't regret exiting too quickly, rather regret holding a trade too long because you did not follow proper discipline and thought the hi flying stock you own will fly forever...
