Larry, You have a good rule about taking profits on options.
I was actually going to hold on to all my options if it was not for the wife. Lucky for me I only sold about 60% of the options I had been holding as of early last week, despite her contant nagging to bail out. Unfortunately, the ones I unloaded were the out of the money options. All I got left is in the money calls. I am just getting "too conservative".

This stock will rocket in the next few days----the only problem might be the possibility of a Compaq/IBM profit warning. I think the WAR will be a non-factor very soon---will be over. That may actually trigger a big rally.

The trial is a non-factor now--settlement or not. The fact that Judge Jackson in a sense ordered them to work out a deal is an indication that if the case gets to court verdict, he may not give more than MSFT would be willing to give in a settlement.(I think he would give less). He has already gotton his revenge on MSFT (from the Windows95 problems) by witnessing their executives being embarrased.
I think he has had enough.

It is funny how fast feelings about the trial can change so fast.
