David, again, I'm a novice, but I believe the open interest is simply the number of options written. So, my belief is that no, you couldn't buy more contracts than the open interest. As far as the fast market is concerned, you're really out of my league here, but I think it just depends on the particular situation and the MM's. Shawn would be a better person to ask. For all I know, I could be wrong on everything I've said. BB
