Corel, leader of the pack in the evolving field of graphics software, continues to consolidate its loose collection of utilities into one drawing and one paint application targeted at skilled illustrators.

CorelDraw 9, due to ship in May, continues this effort by mixing the latest industry developments with refinements to its already solid features. The suite costs $495, and upgrades cost $179; the Photo-Paint bitmap editor is available separately for $295. Corel supports Windows 95, 98 and NT, as well as Windows NT for Alpha platforms; a Power Mac version is scheduled to ship this summer....
