Freeus,
I said I won't be buying any networking stocks---Cisco is THE networking stocks. It is also a high-tech stock.
Microsoft is computer-related, not a networker. However, is it a high-tech stock.
Sadly, Wall Street paints all high-tech companies with a broad brush. So, if a cellular phone (read: high-tech) company like MOT has problems, then a PC software company like MSFT gets sold as well. Where is the logic in that??? There is none. But that's just how it is.
So, I'm avoiding all high-tech stocks at this point (aside from news-related trades). I'm also generally avoiding the rest of the market, which I feel is going to correct some time soon.
About the only stocks I'd buy are biotechs, but I'm still holding off on them.
Note: I've made similar, and more in-depth, comments all over SI (especially the CSCO thread). I suppose I should write a newsletter explaining everything. I'll do so this weekend.
