David, The history of low-end commodity products is that demand is never satiated. People continually trade up as time goes on or machines break. However, the prices are always lower to entice them. Look at VCRs as an example. Moreover, in Asia/Pacific area, a real potential growth region, income levels are not as high as here overall. Thus, the PC makers are targeting lower-priced systems to that region.
