2/20/97 IBD "US ROBOTICS' FAST MODEM HASN'T HIT THE STORES YET'

"The company confirmed it's still testing the 56,000 bits-per-second modem that was to be in stores Sunday. The new modem offers connections at just under twice the speed of those on shelves now. Robotics said it's working with beta customers to make sure everything goes well."
