Something to consider with respect to royalties (WCDMA vs CDMA2000). You seem to be concerned that Ericy will continue to push for WCDMA in Europe limiting the potential royalty revenue for QCOM.
My understanding of the agreement is that there will be a single standard with multiple modes. Therefore, I would expect that a manufacture would buy single license to produce 3G equipment regardless of the mode/chiprate/synchronization method. The Q having the larger CDMA portfolio would therefore get the lions share of the royalties for all 3G equipment produced.
