you're possibly correct. The zip drives continues to increase in numbers along with the disks. Clik is on backorder, new announcements coming, IOM has magnetoresitive drives in house and working well - but hasn't chosen to release info on them yet. IOM stated during last CC that they have new products related to the internet that they'd be announcing. Although they haven't announced these "new products" (who knows why), in a conversation yesterday with them they stated that information hasn't changed. they just don't crunch the numbers like they used to do they. our guy is still holding and will buy more.

everyday about 35,000 more zip drives are sold. and all those zips need disks. analysts questioning selling low margin drives for high margin disks are - well, good questioners.
