I agree w/ that entire post, but disagree on the timing. Historically (pre-1987 when Easy Al and other central bankers began to make it a priority to push gold down thru selling and lending) Gold ALWAYS lead commodities up by about 6 months. for instance, when gold topped in 1980, commodities topped out abnout 7 months later (gold had lead them up too).. like I said though, it doesn't really matter, (except for missing the first move up if I am right) gold will rise.

I think you are using too recent of history to judge gold. The central banks of the world have been keeping it in a box for a while thru lending and selling. hedge funds caught onto this game in 1995 and began shorting it.. and now we are where we are today w// an enormous short position and most central banks of the owrld (including the Fed) holding almost no gold.
