PR Newswire - March 25, 1999 09:20

WENATCHEE, Wash., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Aerospace & Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCTH; PCTHW), announced today that an overwhelming majority of the employees of its Aeromet America division voted in a secret ballot election against representation by the Teamsters Union. The NLRB, an agency of the Federal Government, supervised the election.

I'd like to here from some of the employees at the company regarding that vote. The trend in the private sector has been to turn a cold shoulder to Unions, and PCTH appears to have substantiated that assertion.
Its a pretty big slap in the face to the Teamsters and the AFL/CIO and certainly commends PCTH as a Company that treats its employees well. That makes me feel good, even if the stock price is lousy.
How much of the pressure keeping the stock price down was related to the pending vote? Hard to tell since it did pop up a bit after the announcemnt but is finding it hard to keep above the $2 mark.
Then again, when did the brew-ha-ha begin and did the stock sink day by day to this point because of the turmoil?
Could be we will see it start to surge back to something a little more respectable, like $3?
