I WAS an AOL member and I closed my account. The only reason there are so many members is because you people are sheep. Pepople do what everyone else does. IF you had another service provider you would see why those who dont use AOL will NEVER use it. AOL connections are terrible, online timers are terrible, and I was tired of the advertisements. I was paying $21 to be solicited at every opportunity. I trade the stockand I make money with it but as a company they are big brother.

Sorry to hear that your experience with AOL was not up to your standards. It amazes me that you think 17 million+ subscribers are sheep. Lemmings perhaps, but sheep? :)

Funny you mention other services providers. If your logic is correct, why does AOL continue to outpace all other providers by a wide margin? Perhaps it is because the millions of users enjoy using the service. Every time I hear of someone complaining about the pop-ups, I have to shake my head. Simply go to marketing preferences under My AOL, and click the no pop-up box. It's that simple - yet it never fails to hear someone mention it every time the put AOL down. If only they spent 10 minutes learning how to utilize the product ...

If you trade the stock and make money, that is fantastic. More power to you. But be careful, the big brother we call the Internet is watching!

S. Baaahhh Baaahhh - couldn't resist :)
